About Emily
Emily Daspit (she, her, hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with DTA. Emily has earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas. Before pursuing her master’s, Emily graduated from Texas A&M University, Gig ‘em! She has experience in various settings, such as a domestic violence agency and rape crisis center. Her area of interest includes relationship issues, intimacy trauma, and self-actualization.
Emily is passionate about helping others and dedicated to walking beside clients during the process. She strives to be an advocate for her clients both in and out of the room and encourages mental wellness. She naturally gravitates toward humanistic qualities of warmth and empathy. Emily utilizes active listening skills and genuineness to foster a collaborative and impactful relationship with her clients.
Emily believes that sexual trauma requires a vulnerable and individualized, culturally sensitive approach for clients. Her goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space throughout their healing journey. She helps you lean into your most authentic self and learn the necessary tools to overcome challenges.
