About Dr. Perez
Dr. Giovanna M. Perez (she/her/hers) is a bilingual licensed psychologist with provisional status supervised by Dr. Shyann Campana of Dallas Therapy Associates.
Education and Training
Dr. Perez earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University, an APA-accredited program, with minors in Spanish Counseling and Integrative Behavioral Health. She completed her clinical internship at Rutgers University's Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program & Psychiatric Services (CAPS). Dr. Perez has gained extensive experience in diverse clinical settings, including university counseling centers, crisis centers, community healthcare clinics, and behavioral health hospitals.
Her clinical practice spans a range of services, such as individual therapy, group therapy, bilingual therapy (in both Spanish and English), and crisis intervention.

Dr. Perez adopts an adaptable and patient-centered therapeutic approach, tailoring her treatment to meet each patient's unique needs. Grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she integrates a systems and multicultural perspective to offer a holistic approach to care.
She aims to empower her clients by helping them honor their cultural knowledge and strengths, providing a warm, empathetic space where they can feel safe to explore and express their authentic selves. Dr. Perez values deeply the importance of the therapeutic relationship, understanding that healing occurs in connection with others.
