About Samrina
Samrina Qureshi is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate, supervised by Dr. Karla Gomez-Estrada at Dallas Therapy Associates. She is dedicated to working with individuals, families, and groups in treating mental health concerns. Her passion lies in empowering individuals to achieve their next best self. She provides a compassionate, empathetic, and collaborative approach to counseling, with the belief that every person has a unique journey.
Samrina has worked with the local Dallas community and has a special interest in helping adolescents and young women with issues of self-esteem, providing a voice to marginalized groups, and participating in professional advocacy initiatives. In her spare time, Samrina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading books, and travelling.
Samrina is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from California State University Polytechnic, Pomona, as well as an ‘Alimiyyah degree from the Qalam Seminary. Recently, alongside a university professor, Samrina participated in the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Counseling & Therapy Summit on the topic of Group EMDR.
Samrina has also obtained Gender ASSET training, providing a unique resource for the transgender community. Under the supervision of Dr. Wendy Bates, Samrina is holding weekly empowerment group sessions for female adolescents between the ages of 14-17. For more information, please contact her directly.
