Her aim is to help adults recognize how early experiences shape their current self-view, relationships, and emotional patterns. Whether you feel stuck in self-criticism, uneasy in close connections, or burdened by lingering wounds, Dr. Ríos-Cruz can work together with you to nurture the hurt parts of you and rebuild a more secure sense of self. She takes a collaborative, integrative approach to therapy, combining insights from evidenced based treatments, CBT, Relational Therapy, Psychodynamic concepts, DBT, mindfulness, and self-compassion techniques.

Dr. Alejandra Ríos-Cruz (she/her/hers) is a bilingual licensed psychologist of Dallas Therapy Associates. Dr. Ríos-Cruz has a clinical focus on childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, diversity issues, life transitions, and attachment styles.

She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in Puerto Rico (APA-Accredited) and completed her clinical internship at the VA North Texas Health Care System. She has trained in multiple settings such as community mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, and the school district. This variety in clinical experiences has allowed her to work with diverse populations and provide culturally competent services.

Reaching out for help is a significant act of courage and your well-being matters. Dr. Ríos-Cruz currently offers individual therapy via Telehealth to adults ages 18 and up, where she supports you every step of the way in fostering deeper confidence, healthier connections, and renewed life purpose.
