What it's like to sit with Sarah
Sarah strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves. Her approach is person-centered, relational, and trauma-focused, with an emphasis on understanding how experiences, relationships, and emotions shape who we are today.
Sarah specializes in trauma, particularly generational trauma and family dynamics. She recognizes that the families and relationships we grow up around can deeply influence how we view ourselves, connect with others, and navigate difficult emotions. In therapy, she helps clients explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion while working toward healthier relationships with themselves and those around them.
She also works with individuals navigating life transitions, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and grief. Whether someone is adjusting to a new season of life, feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, struggling within relationships, or simply wanting to understand themselves on a deeper level, Sarah provides a space to slow down and explore what they are experiencing.
An important part of Sarah's approach is creating space for emotions and vulnerability. She understands that many people learn to minimize, avoid, or push aside difficult feelings. She believes that learning to understand and make room for emotions can help clients recognize their needs, develop greater self-compassion, and feel more connected to themselves and others.
Above all, Sarah views therapy as a collaborative relationship. Her goal is to help clients feel seen, heard, and supported while providing a space where they can process difficult experiences, better understand themselves, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.
