His approach is grounded in existential theory and draws from Jungian depth psychology, symbolism, dream work, and meaning-making, with mindfulness practices used to help clients ground in the present and explore their inner experience. Specialties include anxiety, depression, grief, geriatric and seniors, men's issues, spirituality, trauma and PTSD, and stress.
Because Joshua practices under clinical supervision, sessions are billed under the Dallas Therapy Associates group insurance contract rather than Joshua's individual panel. Verify coverage with intake before your first appointment.
Education, licensure, and clinical training that inform Joshua's work.
Joshua Pohl is an LPC-Associate who sees therapy as walking alongside clients rather than leading them — trusting that each person is the expert on their own life and that there is no single right way to navigate the work. He aims to make space for the quiet wisdom clients already carry, often eclipsed by the pace of daily life.
Joshua is supervised by Dr. Wendy Bates. He sees clients in person at the Fort Worth office and via telehealth across Texas. To schedule, please email jpohl@DTAcare.com or request him by name in the contact form.
