Sara Folsom-Thelier (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who works with couples, families, and individuals from diverse backgrounds. As a former service member, she takes a special interest in supporting those who serve or have served in the armed forces and their loved ones, and she has experience providing mental health services in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for adults and adolescents.
Sara's clinical focus includes families and couples of all backgrounds, the military community, motherhood and maternal mental health, addiction, disordered eating and body image, and trauma. Her approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment theory, with experiential methods, Structural Family Therapy, and Gottman Method training. She earned her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and her B.A. in Psychology from Capella University.
