What it's like to sit with Kirsten

Kirsten works with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, neurodivergence, and other emotional difficulties. She is passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore their experiences, and move toward meaningful healing and growth.

Kirsten believes that every individual possesses inherent strengths, and her role is to help clients recognize those strengths, develop new skills, and build the confidence to create meaningful change that fosters lasting emotional well-being. She views therapy as a collaborative process rooted in trust, compassion, and authenticity, where healing begins by feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. Her goal is for every client to leave therapy feeling empowered and equipped with practical tools to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

Her therapeutic approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based while integrating CBT, DBT, and her EMDR training when clinically appropriate. Kirsten believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and tailors treatment to each client's unique goals, experiences, and values. She is committed to creating an affirming, nonjudgmental space where clients of all backgrounds feel respected and supported.
